Yes God did His part, but unless people do their part, which is 'to believe' - 'appropriate' and prove their faith by repenting of their sins and be born again, what the gift of life, forgiveness of sins, of reconciliation and peace with God, and eternal life, is not ours! This is what Eph. 2: 8,9 says: "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."
